  13. To all newbies who want the modem to disconnect with call waiting:
  14. Try reducing the setings of S9 (carrier detect responce time) and
  15. S10 (lost-carrier-to-hangup delay) to 1 sec each. Fist find out
  16. what are your current values (ats9? ats10?), and write those down
  17. (defaults: 6 sec and 14 sec). Then tell your modem at s9=1 s10=1
  18. and see what happens.

  21. On some posting I saw that some USR modem can ignore call
  22. waiting. Probably the modem at the other end is very forgiving.
